I wouldn’t consider myself the most adventurous person, but I have a deep appreciation for nature and it’s beauty. On my home page, there is a picture of a sunset. I didn’t take that picture, but I stood right where the person who took it stood. It is a pic
ture of Yosemite National Park in California, and it is something I am extremely passionate about. Going on that trip in the Summer of 2016 was life changing. I pushed myself, and overcame some of the hardest obstacles. I will never forget the breathtaking views from that trip. One of my life goals is to visit every National Park.
I have always found myself taking on a leadership role in situations. From team captain in high school, to directing different projects, to Student Council President. Leading is something I’m good at. Being able to be surrounded by other leaders through the LAS has been such an amazing opportunity for us to all grow, and learn as leaders. One of the qualities I am good at as a leader is knowing when to lead, and when to be lead. I know when it is my time to step up, and take charge (not in a controlling kind of way) of a situation. However, I also know when it’s time for other people to take the lead, and when I need to be a good follower.
My love for music started at a young age. When I was two, I started my first dance class. In 2nd Grade, I took voice lessons through a family friend, and I was in a few local plays. In 6th grade, I joined the band and played the french horn for 7 years. All of my different involvements through music sparked the appreciation and love I have for it now.
